The vancouver island woodworkers guild is a non-profit organi zation of approximately 150 professional and amateur woodworkers dedicated to the promotion of woodworking and the appreciation of fine craftsmanship in the southern vancouver island region. founded in 1980, our guild creates and maintains a community of people that promote woodworking education, community service and collaborative. The grove woodworking school is tucked amongst the trees on beautiful gabriola island, b.c. canada.. courses and workshops will mainly focus on woodworking skills and techniques for the marine environment, with all skills being transferable to general woodworking.a few non-marine programs are being offered as well. course material is designed principally for novices; those for advanced.
