just a little build kitchen island
She posted on building her kitchen island and i just loved it! my kitchen space is rather small but having an island to use is something that i would love to have and i loved that i could build this to the size that i needed. so, head on over and check out the way that she built hers and i am going to show you what i used to do mine. all i had. I’m finally sharing my diy kitchen island with you today! it’s been done for a few months but i wanted it to be perfect (which it’s not) before i shared it. lol! if you’ve been wanting to learn how to build a kitchen island but not sure how or think it will be too hard, it’s not! i promise anyone can build this. anyone.. This kitchen island was built on a wing and a prayer. it wasn’t custom. just standard build with drawers. and then we made it look custom with custom molding. here are some other kitchen molding projects you might want to try: how to add door molding; how to add window molding; how to use old windows to make a transom. just a little build kitchen island
The kitchen is also the room where everyone seems to congregate, so it’s nice to have a place were people can gather around and eat snacks or serve meals! building an island might sound a little scary, but it’s not as hard as you might think! i’m going to walk you through the whole process. you just have to take it one step at a time!. The island has become the icon of the modern kitchen—the 21st-century equivalent of the old-fashioned hearth. it's easy to understand why. why build a kitchen island? first, islands work. because they can be accessed from all sides like the old kitchen table, they're ideal for a variety of kitchen tasks (see "uses for a kitchen island," below)..
